“The Tuscaloosa and Haynesville Shale Plays”
“By the end of the decade, North America will become a “titan of unprecedented proportions” when it comes to exporting refined petroleum products, according to a new report from the International Energy Agency (IEA).” Oil and gas shale plays are a huge contributor to this and a hot topic in the industry right now. We have two right here in our backyard – The Tuscaloosa Marine Shale, as well as the Haynesville Shale in the North Louisiana.
Key Note Speaker:
Charlotte Batson, a petroleum engineer that is considered an international expert on shale oil and gas exploration and development, will be the keynote speaker for the technical meeting to be held at 11:30am, August 12th at Le Pavillon Hotel in New Orleans. She will give insights to the two shale plays in our area including: production estimates, economic impacts and an overview of the technology surrounding drilling in shale plays.
