The recipients were Ms. Kerrie Slaton, Jefferson Community School in Harahan; Ms. Conchetta Tillery, Live Oak Manor in Waggaman and Ms. Janice Catledge, Gretna No. 2 Academy in Gretna. (Read more)

The FIRST Robotics Bayou Regional Robotics Competition which was held March 17th, 18th, and 19th , 2011 at the Alario Center in Westwego. This year 38 teams from nine different states competed in the tournament. (Read more)
The Greater New Orleans Science and Engineering Fair (GNOSEF) was held on February 23rd at the UNO Human Performance Center. API judged the Senior Division of the Energy Category. The winners and their teachers were recognized and presented awards on February 24th. (Read more)
Energy industry societies are once again pooling their efforts together under the umbrella name of PIPE (Petroleum Energy Promoting Education) to sponsor energy education. On July 23, 2011, PIPE will participate with the Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) FETCH Oil and Energy Saturday. (Read more)
The 7th Annual 2011 API Father-Son & Family Sporting Clays Tournament was held on April 29th and 30th at Covey Rise Lodge located in Husser, Louisiana.
The Delta Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute recently hosted its annual joint society luncheon along with 21 other Representatives from energy related organizations at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. The sold out event was a huge success in part to the key note speaker, Mr. Randall Luthie, President of the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA).
The 2010 API Delta Chapter Golf tournament held on September 17th at the Covington Country Club was a huge success!! Despite the current economic environment and drilling moratorium, 39 teams participated in the popular two-round tournament. There were plenty of cool beverages and delicious food to make this an enjoyable event for all in spite of the South Louisiana heat and humidity. The API Golf Committee would like to thank everyone involved in helping make the 2010 API Delta Chapter Golf Tournament a success!
Through the generosity of all the corporate, team and hole sponsors we were able to raise over $18,000 dollars. The proceeds will be used for our scholarship program, teacher mini- grants, the Louisiana Children’s Museum, and the other opportunities to promote education and the Petroleum Industry in the Greater New Orleans area. &nbps; We could not have achieved this without your support and we are truly thankful!!
We hope to see you all at next year’s 2011 API Delta Chapter Golf Tournament to be held on September 16th once again at Covington Country Club!
