SECRETARY I

JOB TITLE: SECRETARY I
JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs secretarial and designated administrative duties using knowledge of company practices, polices, and organization as related to the immediate work area of responsibility, under the direction of the Administrative Manager.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School education required. Also, one to two years working experience, plus advanced training in typing, shorthand, and business equipment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires the ability to perform stenographic duties of an advanced nature with no direct supervision. This includes well developed shorthand and computer skills developed through either more advanced schooling or considerable work experience. Must have extensive exposure and utilization of varied filing systems and office administrative tasks.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:  
SALARY RANGE: $6.00/hr. up
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Individual usually performs duties within an office area during working hours with only light physical effort required. There are no travel requirements and job related hazards are negligible.

Announcements

The API Delta Chapter Board of Directors have approved a donation to a joint LSU-UNO levee monitoring project in the amount of $7500. The API Delta Chapter supports this project to predict and prevent levee failures. We also support the joint LSU -UNO collaboration and training of students in the use of state-of-the-art Near Surface Geophysics technologies. The API Delta Chapter joins our sister societies in support of this worthy project. Information on the Levee Monitoring Project can be obtained in the accompanying presentation.
