INVENTORY SUPERVISOR

JOB TITLE: INVENTORY SUPERVISOR
JOB DESCRIPTION: To maintain a perpetual inventory of all rig equipment and components, and track the moving of all such equipment, thus ensuring maximum usage of available equipment at all times; under general supervision of the Manager, Support Services.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School education required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The Inventory Supervisor must maintain good working relationships with members of the immediate work group. Periodic contact is required with rig personnel and with accounting personnel. External contacts are limited to representatives of equipment repair of commercial carrier concerns.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The individual performs most duties in a semi-private office, during normal working hours, with limited physical effort required. The individual is frequently exposed to yard and warehouse equipment facilities hazards and exercises proper safety precautions. Occasional travel is necessary to offshore rig sites and is accompanied by normal travel and rig hazards.
SALARY RANGE: $8.00/hr. up
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Requires prior experience in warehousing and inventory related functions. The individual must be cognizant of inventory techniques and records keeping methods, and be capable of originating and maintaining an inventory system and related control procedures. A familiarity with related industry equipment and terminology is required.

Announcements

The API Delta Chapter Board of Directors have approved a donation to a joint LSU-UNO levee monitoring project in the amount of $7500. The API Delta Chapter supports this project to predict and prevent levee failures. We also support the joint LSU -UNO collaboration and training of students in the use of state-of-the-art Near Surface Geophysics technologies. The API Delta Chapter joins our sister societies in support of this worthy project. Information on the Levee Monitoring Project can be obtained in the accompanying presentation.
