PRODUCTION ENGINEER TECHNICIAN

JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION ENGINEER TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION: Engineer is a field of Science that deals with structure, machine or products of matter and sources of energy. A Technician is a person who has acquired/is acting the technique of a specialized skill.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science (BS)/Certification four year college degree in Engineer Science, or Engineer Technology. Certification through the Institute for the Certification of Engineering Technicians (or equal).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Interest in Gas Lift installation and maintenance, corrosion production/prevention, surface and subsurface bacteria prevention, and governmental SAFE charts and DOT regulations. Willingness to travel to field and/or job site as required; willing to attend company sponsored schools.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Production Engineering Technicians can advance to a title of Senior Engineering Technician. With experience, demonstrated ability and desire, may advance to field supervisory positions.

Announcements

The API Delta Chapter Board of Directors have approved a donation to a joint LSU-UNO levee monitoring project in the amount of $7500. The API Delta Chapter supports this project to predict and prevent levee failures. We also support the joint LSU -UNO collaboration and training of students in the use of state-of-the-art Near Surface Geophysics technologies. The API Delta Chapter joins our sister societies in support of this worthy project. Information on the Levee Monitoring Project can be obtained in the accompanying presentation.
