MUD TECHNICIAN

JOB TITLE: MUD TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION: Measure various properties of drilling muds and make recommendations for maintaining the mud system for most efficient drilling operations.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: First preference is college degree in the petroleum related field. Second preference is a minimum of 2 years college with some rig experience. Company will provide specialized training.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Field experience in the petroleum industry is heavily rated. Especially drilling rig experience with a record of advancement.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Can advance through Sales and Service Engineering jobs to any position in the Company, depending on initiative and abilities.

Announcements

The API Delta Chapter Board of Directors have approved a donation to a joint LSU-UNO levee monitoring project in the amount of $7500. The API Delta Chapter supports this project to predict and prevent levee failures. We also support the joint LSU -UNO collaboration and training of students in the use of state-of-the-art Near Surface Geophysics technologies. The API Delta Chapter joins our sister societies in support of this worthy project. Information on the Levee Monitoring Project can be obtained in the accompanying presentation.
